Everyone is invited to attend a screening of the movie Paywall: The Business of Scholarship on Monday, October 22nd from 12:00 – 1:30 in 216C. Paywall is a documentary about the big business world of for-profit academic publishers and the need for open access publishing in research and science. The movie is about an hour long. Jake Nash will follow the screening with a brief facilitated discussion about why open access is important to HSLIC. Popcorn will be served. We hope many of you are able to make it. This is a great opportunity to learn about and discuss open access!
