HSLIC is excited to welcome Tamara Wheeler as the new BioMIRTS Program Coordinator. She will be focusing on grants management and administrative support, including the Biomedical Informatics Seminar Series. Tamara is enjoying getting to know the UNM campus and exploring her passion for education. She has a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts (MALA) from St. John’s College, and BA in Sociology and Anthropology from the College of Idaho. Her professional background has focused on specialty court service coordination in the judiciary, both in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and she is excited to transition into the health care realm.
A native of Santa Fe, Tamara enjoys spending time with her 3 dogs. In her free time she hones her skills on the go kart track, and will soon make the 24-second club (http://www.abqkarting.com/).
