HSLIC welcomes two new members to its team!

Linda Jones joined HSLIC in June as an Accountant 1. Linda came to UNM from the University of Minnesota, where she was a program manager in the Department of Pathology. Linda loves dogs and learning about the Land of Enchantment and its traditions.

In March 2018, Kristin Proctor joined HSLIC as a temporary employee working Sunday through Thursday evenings. She is now a full-time, permanent Library Info Specialist 3, working daytime shifts at the Service Point. Kristin holds degrees in Biology and English from UNM, and she comes to us after working for the Public Library of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. She has also done volunteer work for Animal Humane New Mexico, Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge, and ABQ Circus Arts.

August 22, 2018: HSLIC participated in Welcome Back Days on the HSC Plaza. The library's table offered candy and screen cleaners for passers by. Staff offered two informal surveys students could fill out. One asked students to provide their ideas for additional equipment and games the library could make available for checkout. It also asked students what seminars related to student wellness and success they would be most interested in. The other survey provided students an opportunity to write what they like to do to de-stress on one of the library's new rolling whiteboard.
