Interprofessional Education

The World Health Organization (WHO) in maintaining its strong leadership role in this area discusses a 'collaborative practice-ready workforce' in the following terms:

"(this) is a specific way of describing health workers who have received effective training in interprofessional education... This is a key step in movoing health systems from fragmentation to a positoin of strength...The resulting strengthened health system leads to  impvoed health outcomes" (WHO, 2010)
