ToxNet, a cluster of databases on toxicology, hazardous chemicals, and related areas, will be retired on Monday, December 16. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) states that Toxnet information has migrated to PubChem, Pubmed, NCBI Bookshelf, etc. Therefore, Toxnet will be deleted from HSLIC's Database Page and the following will be added:

 
Open chemistry database at NIH. Includes information formerly in Toxnet's Hazardous Substances Data Bank (HSSD), Chemical Carcinogenesis Research Information System (CCRIS) and Genetic Toxicology Data Bank (Gene-Tox).
 
Provides free online access to books and documents in life science and healthcare. Includes resources like LiverTox, Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology Database (DART), and Drugs and Lactation Database (LactMed).
 
Comparative Toxicogenomics Database. Access to scientific data describing relationships between chemicals, genes and human diseases
 
Links jobs and hazardous tasks with occupational diseases and their symptoms
 
Resources on Alternatives to the Use of Live Vertebrates in Biomedical Research and Testing
 
Toxic Release Inventory. Annual environmental releases of over 600 toxic chemicals by U.S. facilities
