After construction, the entry level will be a flexible space with multiple options for study and collaboration. The floor will have an open layout with plenty of lounge seating close to natural light. In this rendering, you can see the new course reserves shelving located to the left and a scanning station on the right. New LED lighting will be installed throughout the study area.
Student computing will be located closer to the entrance of the library. All computer tables will be motorized and arranged in a modern molecular layout. An additional scanning station can be seen to the right, and a shelf for library exhibits/displays to the left.

Goodbye dingy carpet, hello color! The entry level will get a refresh with bright HSC themed colors in a modern pattern to match the middle floor (3rd floor) of the library.
Student computing will move closer to the entrance to allow room for cozy seating areas along the windows. The Service Desk will remain close to the entrance, but will have a circular shape. The kitchenette is located to the far right on the layout.
