Nursing Resources

UNM's College of Nursing has an Instructional Design team (within the CON IT team). This team helps you with the design, development, and delivery of your online course content. Please contact the CON IT team at hsc-con-it@salud.unm.edu or 505-272-8112 to get started.

The University of New Mexico and the College of Nursing are moving to the Canvas Learning Management System. It will replace Blackboard Learn starting in Summer 2022. We are currently in the process of implementing Canvas.

CON's ID team works with faculty ‘one on one’ to migrate courses from Blackboard to Canvas. We build on templates that are similar to what are used in courses now in Blackboard. 

• CON's online course templates were developed using Best Practices for online learning while also incorporating many ideas/suggestions/requirements from CON faculty over the years (i.e., the Student Resources that are in all NURS and NMNC courses point students to many resources available to them as CON, HSC, and UNM students). 
• Syllabus templates will be updated for summer 2022 courses to include info re: Canvas and other online tools.
