Professional Development Resources & Opportunities for HSLIC staff and faculty

HSLIC Development

Before the Library Opens, Lori SloaneProfessional development is fundamental to one's growth in their career. It's also a key ingredient for creating an innovative, adaptive, and inclusive library that people enjoy using.

The purpose of this guide is to provide a basic list of professional development resources for the faculty and staff of the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC). This guide is intended to be a general reference, providing a framework in which to view the myriad of opportunities HSLIC employees share with each other on a daily basis. It supports our value to instill the practice of lifelong learning in ourselves and our communities and support continuous professional development.

The photograph above, "Before the library opens," by Lori Sloane, illustrates HSLIC's vacant third floor study area at dawn, just before reopening, ready to welcome back library users.
