Required

• Use the three-column side navigation layout
• Display your profile box or the "Ask a Librarian" get help box in the third column (Content Column 2)
• Select to "Show box-level navigation for selected page"

Important Notes

• Place your primary content only in the center column (Content Column 1)
  • Content included in the 3rd column or under the side navigation will not display in the side navigation menu
  • Mobile devices will display the side navigation column first, followed by the main content, followed by the third column
• Choose whether or not you want to show all subpages in side navigation--this is optional
  • It is best practice to limit the number of subpages on your guides (unlike in this guide!)

1. When first creating a guide, the 3 column side navigation layout will be set as your default
    
2.  Once you have created your guide you can edit navigation settings. Use the landscape icon to select "Guide Navigation Layout"

3. Check the box to "Show box-level navigation for selected page" (Required)

4. You may choose to check the box next to "Show all subpages in side navigation" (Optional)
